Unlike many other cabin companies, ours has its own private setting, with view of creek and wooded hillside in front and behind, and not lined up side by side with our other cabins. However, it is not secluded or in the wilderness, being just 2 1/2 miles from Mena. But most people find the location works for popping in and out of town and yet still having their quiet, private lot and access to National Forest.

402 roat to natl forest

It is a really pretty drive to Wolf Pen Gap ATV trails–the adventurous guests can drive right from your cabin on scenic back gravel road about 7 miles, or you can trailer your ATV and go on paved busier road.  Before you set out on the back road (402, shown above) call the Forest Service to make sure the roads are open:  Map to the trails and Forest Service phone number

ATV family with baby

Ride the back county roads from the cabin, no matter the weather!  Here are a couple of our youngest AVT enthusiasts who stayed at Sunnybrook in early March!  It might have been chilly and rainy, but the sunshine on the faces made up for it.

Sunnybrook guest just put over 100 miles on his new ATV on Co.Rd. 402 and at Wolf Pen Gap, and enjoyed the peace and quiet of our area to relax after the ride.

The cabin is just 400 square feet, and is ideal for the family who has a lot of outdoor activities in mind. No fancy furniture or amenities, just affordable, good, clean, and comfortable cooking and sleeping quarters to come back to after a day of enjoying all that Mena and the Ouachitas have to offer.  It is a “tiny house,” like on HGTV!  (It also has smaller 20 gal water heater, so larger groups should space showers 20 minutes apart, or take shorter showers.)

Rustic and unique log-sided cabin in large private lot with little covered deck, a nice creek flows at back. Privacy fence. Plus, your cabin does not share grounds with any other cabin.

No pets (Sorry for the inconvenience; if you are traveling with a pet, the owner’s son is a vet with a nice boarding facility about 5 minutes’ drive away from the cabin)

No smoking cabin

Five minutes to Mena shopping, theater, restaurants, Walmart.
